Ceradyne receives $8.3 million order

Ceradyne has received an $8.3 million order for ceramic body armor parts known as enhanced small-arms protective inserts.

The inserts will be made at Ceradyne's Lexington armor plant and at plants in California, and be shipped by September to the Marine Corps.
