Three Chimneys reduces most stud fees

- jpatton@herald-leader.com

Three Chimney Farm in Midway announced Monday that their top-rated stallion, Dynaformer, will remain at a stud fee of $150,000.

Most of the farm's 2010 fees have been reduced, including that of Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown, who will drop to $55,000 from $65,000.

Farm owner Robert Clay said all stallion books again will be limited to 110 mares, except for Dynaformer, who will be limited to 70.

"We will continue to limit our book sizes, while offering multiple mare packages, breed-back specials and cash discounts," Clay said in a news release.
