A portion of the Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway will be reduced to one lane westbound because of resurfacing beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The six-mile stretch of road between the Stoner-Ephesus overpass in Clark County and the Powell County line is being resurfaced with a material that takes a couple of hours to set up.
Drivers should expect one lane of traffic at any given time, except during the Aug. 30-Sept. 1 Labor Day weekend, when no work will be done on the road. The project is expected to be completed Sept. 15, Tim Preston, the cabinet's District 7 work zone safety coordinator, said.
