Insight to add more HD channels

Lexington cable provider Insight Communications plans to offer 56 channels in high-definition by early December.

The full list of HD channels is available by visiting www.mosthdforfree.com. The new HD channels include Fox News, CNN, The History Channel and Sci Fi.

Spokeswoman Sandy Colony said that most channels will be available with no additional costs.

If Insight offers the HD channel in its standard-definition package, the HD version will be offered to customers for free, Colony said.

"Of course, you have to have the right equipment," she said.

Customers will not have to do anything to receive the new channels.

"This will be an automatic addition," she said.
