Grand Session honors girls' Rainbow group

Hart Assembly No. 61 of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls attended the Grand Session June 20 through 22 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Louisville. The group was honored with the Grand Delegates from Nicholasville: Breanna Duncan to Kansas and Bolivia; Abby Phillips to Maryland; and Whitney Hafley to Washington/Idaho and New York. Sarah O'Corcoran was appointed as Grand Christian Flag Bearer. The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit service organization for girls between 11 and 20. The Rainbow Pledge organization is for girls 7 to 11. Rainbow teaches leadership, self-confidence, and love of country and one another. Call (859) 887-2092.

Habitat director

Habitat for Humanity of Jessamine County has named Ronald K. Bishoff as executive director. Bishoff will oversee all Habitat operations for Jessamine County.

Bishoff came to Habitat in the fall of 2004 to assist in starting ”The ReStore,“ which that collects donations of furniture, appliances, building supplies and household items and then resells them to the public. Bishoff's background is in construction repair and rehabilitation, retail, finance, and marketing.
