For his retirement after 20 years of service in the Navy, Cmdr. Doug Bowling, left, a 1988 University of Kentucky graduate, was joined at the Naval Computer and Telecommunication Station in Guam by his father, Kelly Bowling, and wife Nina. Kelly Bowling, a retired chief petty officer, retired from the same place in 1975, also after 20 years of service. Doug, Nina and their daughter, Isa, plan to remain in Guam.

Vicki and Kirk Judy of Lexington celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary aboard the MS Westerdam on a Holland America Cruise that stopped in Cozumel, Mexico. It was a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise traveling to the islands of Half Moon Cay, Turks and Caicos, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
