Library victory garden presentation

Two events will be taking place this week at the Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Avenue, Winchester.

■ On Thursday Julie Maruskin will present a history of World War I and II victory gardens along with suggestions on how to use similar techniques for home gardens. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation at 7 p.m. The event is limited to 45; registration is required by calling (859) 744-5661.

■ The Friends of the Library will meet 7-8 p.m. Thursday. Plans for the June book sale will be discussed. The meeting is open to any library patron.
