Golf scramble for Cowan coalition
The Brenda Cowan Coalition for Kentucky will have a golf scramble May 9 at Connemara Golf Course, 2327 Lexington Road just north of Nicholasville. Registration is at 11 a.m. Lunch is at 11:30 a.m., and tee time is 12:15 p.m. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2008 Buick, and a bag and clubs. The event includes a raffle for gift cards. Shop for mom
Children can shop for reasonably priced Mother's Day gifts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and May 10 at Attic Treasures Thrift Store, 335 East Main Street in Wilmore.
