Contests

■ The Keep It Real Campaign to Reduce Underage Drinking kicked off its sixth annual Keep It Real Internet/video contest recently. Area teens can win cash prizes and media exposure.

This regional contest is for 30-second commercials telling why people younger than 21 shouldn't drink. All entries are posted at www.keep-it-real.us, and viewers may vote for people's choice winners. A new feature this year is a curriculum-support package for teachers. For details, go to the Web site.

Entry deadline is Dec. 11. Voting will be Jan. 11 to 22 for the people's choice. Other winners will be chosen by a team of professionals.

Winners will be announced Feb. 2. The top prize is $200.
