- aclark@herald-leader.com

A woman has been charged after a stabbing near the University of Kentucky campus Monday night.

Police were called to 256 Lyndhurst Place at 6:46 p.m. after a man was discovered with three stab wounds to his abdomen in the parking lot of an apartment complex, Lexington police Lt. Chris VanBrackel said.

Rachel Ann Ross, 38, was arrested Tuesday on a first-degree assault charge.

The victim, who has not been identified, underwent surgery at the University of Kentucky Hospital and was listed in fair condition, VanBrackel said.
