Female Berea College student pleads not guilty in sex-text case

- kward1@herald-leader.com

A 20-year-old Berea College student pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of unlawful transaction with a minor and using an electronic communications system to procure sex with a minor, according to jail officials.

Sarah E. Wilson was charged Friday and remained in the Madison County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon. She entered a not guilty plea in Madison District Court on Monday.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 25.

The Berea Police Department declined to provide information on the case because it had not yet been approved for release by the chief.
