A UPS employee in Stanton has been charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300 after a company security supervisor told police he believed the man was stealing packages from a UPS hub, Kentucky State Police said.
Police found Stephen D. Gay, 43, of Beattyville, stopped on the shoulder of the Mountain Parkway in Powell County Wednesday.
Police said stolen property found in Gay’s vehicle and property recovered at his home valued more than $10,000.
Gay could also face charges in Lee County, state police said.
