HERALD-LEADER STAFF REPORT
A Central Kentucky man was in fair condition at University of Kentucky Hospital Monday after his vehicle was struck on Sunday by a driver who died at the scene, officials said.
Stephen H. Moberg, 33, of Nicholasville, was ejected from a 2000 Nissan Frontier on Sunday after the vehicle left the roadway on eastbound Ky. 753 in Garrard County, crossed the center line and stuck another vehicle. Kentucky State Police said alcohol use may have been a factor in the crash that occurred about 10:30 p.m.
Moberg, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, state police said.
Scottie Sizemore, 33, of Lancaster, was driving the other vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck. He was airlifted to UK Hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
State police said Sizemore was wearing a seat belt.
