A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night at a Lexington strip club, accused of trying to run over his girlfriend, according to court records. Jerry Dale Collins of Frankfort is accused of injuring his girlfriend, Sara A. Hodgkin, at Solid Platinum about 10:30 p.m. by hitting her with the Ford truck he was driving, according to court records.
Hodgkin was treated at University of Kentucky Hospital and released.
Collins told police he’d been drinking at Solid Platinum, 1101 East New Circle Road, earlier Tuesday.
Records say Collins smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot and watery eyes and slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.
Collins was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and no insurance.
Police said Collins also tried to run over another man at the club.
Collins was taken to the Fayette County jail on a $15,050 cash bond.
No one was available for comment at Solid Platinum Wednesday morning.
