Comair crash victims family seeks produce donations

In recognition of the second anniversary of the crash of Comair Flight 5191 on Aug. 27, 2006, the family of Larry W. Turner is seeking donations of produce to give to the Lexington Rescue Mission. Turner’s widow, Lois, and children Molly, Amy and Clay, will have a booth at the Lexington Farmers Market on Saturday to accept the donations. At the time of his death, Turner was associate dean of extension at the University of Kentucky, and had been helping tobacco farmers find alternative crops while also helping communities statewide to launch farmers’ markets.
