Paris man killed in wreck with dump truck

PARIS — One man died Thursday night after a collision between a dump truck and a passenger car, Kentucky State Police said.

Charles C. Henney, 56, of Paris was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision happened at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at the bypass and Peacock Road.

The dump truck, whose driver was not identified, was traveling west on the bypass and struck a small four-door car driven by Henney. The car was struck on the driver's side, police said.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident, which is under investigation by state police.
