Missing Knott teens found safe

Two Knott County teens missing since Jan. 20 were found in Phoenix and were on their way back to to Kentucky, the Kentucky State Police said Wednesday.

State police had been looking for Bradley James Pennington, 14, of Mallie and Kaita Nicole Addington, 15, of Pine Top.

Phoenix police found the two teens and were making arrangements to return them to their parents, according to a state police press release.

It was unknown why they went to Phoenix or how they got there, trooper first class Tony Watts said.
