Carlisle man injured in Bourbon crash

A Carlisle man was in serious condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital Saturday after a Friday afternoon crash that snarled traffic in Bourbon County for hours.

Timothy Hopkins, 30, apparently turned his 1994 Chrysler into the path of a 2008 Mack truck at the intersection of U.S. 460 and the Paris bypass, the Paris Police Department said in a news release. The intersection was closed for five hours after the 3:50 p.m. crash.

The driver of the truck was Keith A. Bryant, 29, of Cynthiana. He declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.
