Crash kills Baxter man

A man from Baxter died after a crash in the Putney community of Harlan County Tuesday afternoon.

Donald E. Hensley, 82, was driving south on Ky. 522 when his 2003 Pontiac dropped off the shoulder of the road and he lost control, state police said.

The car crossed to the northbound shoulder and hit a tree before going down an embankment.

Hensley, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
