Motorcyclist, 71, dies when hit by truck

A Montgomery County man died Saturday after a truck crashed into the motorcycle he was operating on a road in Powell County, Kentucky State Police said.

Frank McCoy Jr., 71, of Mount Sterling, was riding a motorcycle north on Ky. 213 in Powell County about 3:30 p.m. when a 1999 Ford Ranger coming out of a driveway struck him, state police said.

Seth Burton, 17, of Stanton, who was driving the truck, was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester with injuries. His condition was not available Sunday.

State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
