2 arrested after Jackson woman is shot

Two Tyner men were arrested Sunday after they allegedly fired multiple shots into a Jackson County woman's home, hitting the woman three times.

Mindle Davidson Jr., 49, and David Marshall, 47, were charged with first-degree assault and wanton endangerment Sunday.

Police were called to the home of Billi Lunsford, 39, on Rocky Branch Road in Jackson County in response to a shooting shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Lunsford was shot three times and was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Late Sunday, Lunsford was listed in critical condition.

Police did not say what led to the arrests of the two men. Davidson and Marshall are being held at the Jackson County Detention Center.
