A fire destroyed a balcony at an apartment complex Monday.
The Lexington Fire Department responded to a fire at Hollow Creek Condominiums about 4:40 a.m. A fire started on a wooden balcony, but did not spread into the apartment, Lexington Fire Battalion Chief Randy Gilliam said.
A grill was on the balcony, but the resident of the apartment said it hadn't been used in two days, Gilliam said. The fire department is investigating.
