- shopkins@herald-leader.com

GEORGETOWN — A Georgetown-Scott County Emergency Management Agency employee pleaded not guilty Tuesday morning to child pornography charges.

Eric Dwayne Westerfield, 38, of Georgetown declined to comment as he left Scott District Court.

He was arrested about 4:10 p.m. May 5 at the EMA office on Cincinnati Pike after eight images were found on a disk at his home on Citation Court, a police report said. Scott County Judge-Executive George Lusby has said Westerfield has been suspended as a captain with the agency.

He is charged with eight counts of possession of matter portraying the sexual performance of a minor younger than 13, a Class D felony.

Westerfield is scheduled to return to court June 16.
