An Irvine man died Wednesday night in a car accident in Madison County.
Kentucky State Police said Keiley M. Harrison, 24, of Richmond, was westbound on Irvine Road about 9:30 p.m. when her 1995 Chevrolet truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 1984 Ford truck. Archie Hurley, 59, the driver of the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison. Hurley was not wearing a seat belt.
Police said Harrison and a passenger in the Ford, Patsey Hurley, 45, of Irvine, were taken to University of Kentucky Hospital. Patsey Hurley had facial injuries; Harrison, who was wearing a seat belt, had injuries to her face and a leg, police said.
Alcohol appeared to be a contributing factor in the wreck, police said.
