Man killed in Montgomery crash

- ssloan@herald-leader.com

A 37-year-old Jeffersonville man died early Thursday in Montgomery County when the vehicle he was riding in ran off a road and struck a culvert.

David Owens Thomas II was riding with Lori Boyd when the vehicle crashed about 1:30 a.m. on U.S. 460 in Jeffersonville, Montgomery County Coroner Wally Johnson said.

Thomas, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling, Johnson said.

Boyd was flown to University of Kentucky, where her condition was not available.
