Cubs T-ball team has perfect season

The T-Ball Cubs of Jessamine County Youth Baseball completed a 19-0 season on June 21 by winning the championship game of the season-ending tournament. The team went 16-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in tournament play.

Wilmore yard sales

The Hometown Yard Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at homes throughout Wilmore. Call (859) 858-4411.

Fourth festival

The Annual Festival of the Fourth begins with an old-fashioned parade at 10 a.m. Thursday in downtown Wilmore. A festival will follow the parade at the Wilmore Campground with crafts, contests, food and live music. Call (859) 858-9031.

Old-time piano

Pianist Rene Frick will perform at 1:15 p.m. Friday at the Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village. Frick honed her old-time piano style on KMOX live radio shows in St. Louis. Call (859) 858-3865.

Hospice of the Bluegrass Jessamine County is selling chances to win a 2008 Ford Fusion SE. Proceeds benefit Hospice of the Bluegrass ­Jessamine County and the RJ Corman Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
