A Corinth man died Thursday morning after an accident along Interstate 75.

Charles G. Lake, 73, of 1585 Keefer-Lawrenceville Road, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

The accident occurred about 8:28 a.m. in the northbound lane near mile marker 155. Police said Lake was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger and pulling a trailer carrying scrap metal when he lost control and ran off the right shoulder. The vehicle went up an embankment and rolled over several times.

The passenger, William Lake, 23, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County for non-life threatening injuries. Neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, said police spokesman Rick Saint-Blancard.
