Welcome to the new-look Kentucky.com. We trust that the redesigned site will make it easier for you to keep up with news from Central Kentucky.

Check below for answers to your questions about the new-look site.

Question: I've spotted a mistake on the Web site. How do I let you know?
Answer: Please let us know by sending an e-mail to this address.

Q: Where is the best place to find breaking news?
A: Check the top left-hand corner of Kentucky.com, or go to kentucky.com/181

Q: Where are the obituaries?
A: Find them under the "news" tab across the top of the home page, or click here.

Q: How do I find photos and videos?
A: On the home page, scroll down until you see a horizontal row of thumbnails. Click on a thumbnail to see a slide show. You can find videos in a widget halfway down the home page on the right or at videos.kentucky.com. There's more multimedia at heraldleaderphoto.com.

Q: Can I buy reprints of photos?
A: Check out http://herald-leader.mycapture.com/mycapture/photoRequestForm.asp.

Q: How can I submit my own photos or videos?
A: Go here and click on "Submit Your Media" in the upper right-hand corner.

Q: Will I need to register again?
A: No! Your existing username and password have been carried over to the new site. HOWEVER, you will need to log off, then log back on again before you can post a comment on the redesigned site.

Q. Help! When I go to make a comment, I am being asked to log in, even though I am already logged in!
A. No worries -- just log off, then log back in again.

Q: The text in the stories is too small. How do I make it larger?
A: Just to the right of the headline at the top of the story, you'll see a line that says "text size," followed by a plus sign and a minus sign. It probably goes without saying, but click the corresponding symbol to change the text size.

Q: Where do I find a version of the site that works on my mobile?
A: Find a mobile-friendly edition at m.kentucky.com.

Q: What does "become a member" mean?
A: You can create a personalized profile page and blog; comment or recommend stories and post your thoughts on discussion forums.

Q: How do I become a member?
A: On the upper right side of the Kentucky.com homepage, you'll find a head-and-shoulders icon and the words login or register. If you're already registered with the site, click login and type in your user name and password. If you're not yet registered, click register and fill in the 13 pieces of information we need. It's simple.

Q: I'm registered. How do I find my page?
A: After you have logged into the site, you'll find links to "my profile" and "my account" on the top right of the page. Click on "my profile" to access your pages where you can designate friends; write a description of yourself and your interests; leave messages for the friends you've designated; add an avatar; and start a blog. Your profile page, found under the home tab, will keep a copy of all remarks you leave in story comments or in forums.

Q: How do I comment on or recommend stories?
A: Just above the headline at the top of each story page, there's a "comment" link. It will take you to the bottom of the story, where you will find a box labeled "Add a Comment." Put your comment inside that box and click submit. You can also recommend stories by clicking on the "Recommend" button after a story. The most-recommended stories and most-commented stories are noted in lists on the Kentucky.com homepage. | back to questions list

Q: How do I find another user's profile page?
A: While you're on an article, click on another user's screen name to go to their profile page where their recent remarks and comments are located. You can leave messages for a user or ask them to add you as a friend by clicking either one of two buttons on their persona or profile pages. | back to questions list

Q: What should I do when I find an offensive comment on the site?
A: Click the "report abuse" button found to the bottom right of each comment on a story or forums. There is also a "report abuse" button on users' profile pages. If three reports of abuse are received, the system automatically hides the comment or text until we at Kentucky.com and the Herald-Leader can review the material. We reserve the right to suspend or ban users who do not follow the guidelines. | back to questions list

Q: How will I know when someone leaves me a message or adds me as a friend?
A: The system is set to e-mail you when someone comments on your blog, leaves you a message or adds you as a friend. You can turn that notification off by clicking on "my profile" on the homepage and "profile" on your page. You can click the button next to "no" at the bottom of the my profile form. | back to questions list

Q: I want to limit messages to friends only. How do I do that?
A: Go to your profile page again and click the button next to "friends" where it asks "Allow messages for." | back to questions list

Q: I don't see the answer to my question here. How can I get it?
A: Please send the question to this address. We may use your question to expand this listing. | back to questions list
