Versailles police are seeking the public's help in recovering property stolen from the residence of Patricia Last, who has been reported missing since Oct. 1.

Charged in the case with first-degree burglary is Richard Kincaid. "He remains under investigation," said Versailles police officer Pat Melton.

"It's a big puzzle and where the next piece comes from we don't know," Melton said. But "detectives are working very, very hard on this case."

Stolen items include heirloom jewelry and antique furniture. Anyone who received or bought items from Kincaid is asked to contact the Versailles Police Department at (859) 873-3126.

On Monday, Kincaid was transferred from the Woodford County jail to the Boyle County Detention Center where, in addition to burglary, he is being held on charges of possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and flagrant non-support. He is $13,000 behind child support payments in Scott County.

Reach Beverly Fortune at (859) 231-3251 or 1-800-950-6397, Ext. 3251.
