For all the disclosures former President Richard Nixon makes in Frost/Nixon, director Ron Howard has one of his own.
Howard says he voted for Nixon in 1972.
"Yeah I did," Howard said at a discussion following a Hollywood screening late last month. "You see now, that was a long time ago."
Five years later, Nixon granted English journalist David Frost the famous four-part interviews, upon which the film is based.
Howard supported Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 election with a viral video in which he said, among other things, that he'd voted for both parties in the past.
Taking away the fun
Jennifer Aniston hasn't lost her sense of humor even though she is ticked over the flurry of tabloid reports that she is pregnant.
"It's hysterical," the former Friends star tells Entertainment Weekly. "It's almost going to take away the fun from actually being able to say one day, 'I'm pregnant.'"
Jen does say it was fun to play a mother in her new flick, Marley & Me, an adaptation of former Philadelphia Inquirer columnist John Grogan's love letter to his dog. (It opens on Christmas Day.) The role, she says, made her yearn to be a mom.
"I feel like (having a baby is) in my future and I'm on the verge of it in some way — or it's something I long for," she explains. "So it was great to sort of dip your toe in it."
Not guilty plea entered
Former Soul Train host Don Cornelius has pleaded not guilty to spousal battery charges.
Court records show Cornelius entered the plea to five misdemeanor counts through his attorney Thursday.
The 72-year-old producer was arrested in October after police responded to a domestic dispute call at his Hollywood Hills home. He was charged last month with spousal battery, assault with a deadly weapon and dissuading a witness from making a police report.
The records indicate Cornelius was not in court Thursday, but was ordered to appear for a January pretrial hearing.
