Powell Co. jail inmate dies

A Powell County Jail inmate died Sunday morning at the University of Kentucky Hospital after being found unresponsive in his cell Saturday.

Bradley Sons, 36, of Stanton was brought in to the jail about 5:30 p.m. Friday and had been charged with theft by unlawful taking, a jail employee said.

He was found unresponsive at 10:26 p.m. Saturday, according to a release by the Fayette County coroner's office.

The cause of death is unknown. An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort.

Hearn Funeral Home in Stanton is in charge of arrangements.
