Police search river for missing teen

Kentucky State Police are searching for a teenager reported missing by his father in Green Meadows in Pike County. People along the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy are asked to look for Joshua Jerome Tessmer, 19.

Tessmer was last seen at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at home on North Mayo Trail, police said, and his hat was found near the river.

Tessmer is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 190 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes and a fair complexion. He has a tattoo of a cross on his left shoulder and is thought to be wearing blue jeans, blue Nike shoes and a dark Carhartt jacket.

Foul play is not suspected. Pike County Emergency Services and East Kentucky Rescue and fire departments are searching the river downstream from Tessmer's home.
