Kentucky American Water has issued a boil-water advisory to 700 customers in Scott County after a water main break in Sadieville.

Customers affected are residents on Cincinnati Pike, Elk Lick Road, Hinton-Sadieville Road, Northeast County Line road, South Rays Fork and Fields Road.

The company recommends that customers boil for three minutes any water they intend to use for drinking, cooking or making ice.

The advisory is in place for 36 hours unless otherwise notified by Kentucky American.
