21. Richie playing on ... C-SPAN? Had a bit of a surreal moment one morning last week while channel surfing. Was cruising past C-SPAN when, HEY, isn't that Richie Farmer?
20. Not on Road to the White House: Kentucky's Commissioner of Agriculture was touring a hospital with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack during the latter's recent visit to Kentucky.
19. On C-SPAN with U.S. Cabinet members: Richie is a long way from his days running Bobby Keith's high stack at Clay County.
18. Landon Slone's decision: The former Kentucky Wildcat picked well in choosing Morehead State as a transfer point.
17. Landon Slone's plea: The ex-Paintsville High All-Stater said he thought the NCAA should allow him to play right away (not sit out the normal one year as a transfer) because a coaching change essentially forced him off the UK roster.
Slone was a walk-on and didn't lose a scholarship, but I think he has a valid point.
16. Call it The "A.J. Stewart Rule": The NCAA should let players who lose scholarships because they've been "recruited over" transfer without penalty and play right away at their next school.
15. Jodie Meeks: Every time I read an interview with the Kentucky star after one of his NBA workouts, I get the feeling that, deep down, he really wants to leave his name in the draft.
14. WKU's offer to play UK in men's basketball: Western Athletics Director Wood Selig says he's pitched Kentucky on the Hilltoppers playing the Cats in Louisville every other year.
13. WKU's offer to play UK II: Selig also says he's proposed a deal with Kentucky similar to the four-year contract the Hilltoppers have with Louisville: That would be two games in Rupp Arena, one in Nashville and one in Bowling Green.
Do you think UK would ever agree to go to Diddle Arena? Me neither.
12. Courtney Lee's last-second miss: Those criticizing the former WKU star for "blowing a layup" at the end of regulation of Game Two of the NBA Finals against the Lakers are being too harsh.
11. A tough shot: Because there was so little time left (0.6 of a second) and because of the momentum of his body when he caught the ball, Lee's alley-oop miss at the rim that would have won the game for Orlando was not an easy play.

9. Kyle Busch's guitar slam: Because it's Kyle Busch it became an instant controversy, but I thought that rock-star-style guitar slam the NASCAR bad boy did after winning the Nationwide Series event at Nashville Saturday night was sort of fun.
Then again, I'm not the artist (Sam Bass is) who said he puts "hundreds" of hours into making the Gibson guitar that is presented to the winners of major races at Nashville Superspeedway.
8. NASCAR star power in the commonwealth: Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Joey Logano are the Sprint Cup regulars who will run Saturday night in the Nationwide race at Kentucky Speedway. So will Brad Keselowski, who won the Cup race at Talladega earlier this season.
7. Logano's Kentucky "celebration": The teen sensation (who turned 19 on May 24) won his first major NASCAR event in last year's Meijer 300 as an 18-year-old.
I asked him last week on a teleconference how he celebrated?
"I had my milk and cookies," he joked. "I mean, at my age, what could I really do?"
6. Kentucky boys: Brothers Mark and Jeff Green of Owensboro are both on the entry list for the Sparta race.
5. Bruton Smith: Yes, the new owner of Kentucky Speedway is expected Saturday. It will be real interesting to hear what he has to say about the ever-elusive Cup date.
4. Calvin Borel: Still love Calvin, but I thought he moved too soon in the Belmont.

2. Steve Kragthorpe: I know he's looking down the barrel of a highly agitated fan base and needs to win now, but I think the embattled Louisville football coach has banked way too heavily on junior-college transfers in recruiting.
