A Virginia woman died in a crash on Interstate 64 in Franklin County on Tuesday afternoon.

Patricia Mann, 63, of Virginia Beach, Va., was a passenger in a van driven by Alice Justice, 70, of Hampton, Va.

Justice was driving west when her van left the road about 1 p.m., state police said. The van crossed both westbound lanes and turned over, landing on its side in the median.

Mann was not wearing a seat belt, and she was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Justice, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken to the medical center for treatment.
