The University of Kentucky women's basketball team announced the non-conference portion of its 2009-10 schedule Wednesday.
The schedule includes nine home games and 13 teams from 11 different conferences.
Eight of Kentucky's opponents posted winning records last season and six advanced to post-season play: Boston University, Butler, Louisville, Middle Tennessee, Chattanooga, and UC Santa Barbara.
Kentucky will release its Southeastern Conference schedule at a later date.
"We work really hard to construct a schedule that will prepare us for success in the SEC," Coach Matthew Mitchell said. "We feel like we have accomplished that this year as our non-conference schedule includes very exciting and formidable opponents."
Kentucky's season opener is Nov. 13 against Boston University, which finished 25-8 last season, including 16-0 in the America East Conference.
Kentucky's annual game against rival Louisville is Sunday, Dec. 20.
UK returns five letter winners from a team that finished 16-16 overall and 5-9 in the SEC.
