Two people died in a collision in Lewis County on Friday afternoon after a man driving a pickup truck pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer, state police said.

Jack Mulliken, 88, the driver of the pickup truck, and Evelyn Mulliken, 83, who was a passenger, both of Tollesboro, died at the scene, state police said. No information about whether the two were related was available Friday night.

At about 4:20 p.m., Jack Mulliken was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck east on Ky. 57 when he pulled into the path of the tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer caused the pickup to cross into the path of a 2005 Toyota Highlander. The pickup overturned after it struck the Highlander, state police said.

The other drivers were not injured.
