WEKU-88.9 FM, the public radio station out of Richmond, is adding five programs to its on-air lineup and a second audio stream of all classical music on its Web site.
Here are the details:
A Prairie Home Companion: Garrison Keillor's popular radio variety show will air at 6 p.m. Saturdays, starting Aug. 1. It will repeat at 1 p.m. Sundays.
BBC Newshour: The British Broadcasting Corp.'s news program will air at 9 a.m. weekdays, after National Public Radio's Morning Edition, starting Aug. 3.
Fresh Air: The arts and culture interview program hosted by Terry Gross will air at 3 p.m. weekdays starting Aug. 3. A best-of weekend edition of the show will air at 11 a.m. Sundays beginning Aug. 2.
WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour: The Lexington-produced Americana music program, which just announced that WEKU will be its national host affiliate, will air at 8 p.m. Saturdays beginning Aug. 1.
Splendid Table: The show "for people who like to eat," hosted by Lynne Rossetto Kasper, will air at noon Sundays beginning Aug. 2.
All-classical Internet radio: The streaming audio will be available online at www.weku.fm starting this weekend.
