Kentuckians to join 9/12 limited-government march

September 10, 2009

A group of more than 100 people from the Lexington area will ride a bus to Washington D.C. Friday to advocate for smaller government.

Eric Wilson of Georgetown said supporters of the Kentucky 9/12 Project will join with like-minded fiscal conservatives from around the country in Freedom Plaza at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and march to the U.S. Capitol.

"We want to make government smaller and the people stronger," Wilson said of the Kentucky group, which is part of a larger movement inspired by FOX News host Glenn Beck.

"They're fed up, and not just with Obama and the Democrats," Wilson said. "They're just as fed up with Republicans."
