Wolfe County motorcycle, truck crash kills 3

Two men were killed early Monday and a woman died later after a motorcycle collided with a pickup in Wolfe County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Jason C. Patrick, 36, of Campton and Kenneth R. Pierson, 29, of Stanton died in the wreck on Ky. 15 at Myrtle Little Hollow Road. Ronda Ann Bush, 20, of Campton died Monday afternoon at University of Kentucky Hospital.

Police were notified of the accident about 12:15 a.m. Pierson, with Bush as a passenger, was traveling north on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle when Patrick, driving a 1994 Toyota, pulled onto Ky. 15 from Myrtle Little Road.

A Lexington man died shortly before midnight Saturday after his motorcycle crashed into an outbound semi truck on Versailles Road.
According to Lexington police, Geovany Morales, 36, and another motorcycle rider were travelling at a high rate of speed when they came up on the truck, which was not pulling a trailer, in the 1200 block of Versailles.
Police said Morales hit the back of the semi; the other rider swerved to avoid the crash. Morales was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck was not injured. Both speed and alcohol are suspected to be contributing factors to the crash, according to Lexington police. Morales was not wearing a helmet. According to the Fayette County Coroner, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

A motorcyclist whose wife was killed in a crash Sunday on Interstate 75 was listed in fair condition Monday morning at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
Gregory Wasserott, 51, and his wife, Tina, 50, of Cedar Lake, Ind., were riding a 1978 Suzuki GS1000E north on I-75 when he lost control of the bike during a turn and crashed into a guard rail.
Both were thrown from the motorcycle and taken to UK hospital, where Tina Wasserott died. Both riders were wearing helmets, according to a news release from Lexington police. The wreck happened at the exit ramp onto North Broadway.

A Madison County man died Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle in Jackson County and crashed into a guardrail, Kentucky State Police said.
Emmanual J. Cope, 43, of Berea was traveling north on Highway 421 in the Waneta community when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle skidded and struck the guardrail about 6:45 p.m.
Cope, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

A Richmond couple died from their injuries at University of Kentucky Hospital Saturday after they were thrown from their motorcycle and lost their helmets in a Boyle County accident, police said.
Angela Sebastian, 43, and Charles Sebastian, 48, were westbound on a 2007 Honda motorcycle on Ky. 52 about 1:45 p.m. when Charles Sebastian lost control on a curve, crossed the center line and struck a 2003 Suzuki sport-utility vehicle head on, said Boyle County sheriff's deputy Warren Lanham. Angela Sebastian was thrown 29 feet. She lost her helmet and hit the pavement with her head, Lanham said.
Charles Sebastian, who also lost his helmet in the impact, was thrown into the windshield of the SUV.

Pierson crashed into Patrick�s truck on the driver�s side door. He and Bush were thrown from the motorcycle. Pierson and Patrick suffered severe head trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Frank Porter.
