The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will update the public on Lexington's Newtown Pike extension project at a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Lexington Convention Center, Heritage Ballroom No. 3. The room is on the center's first level. Highway engineers will answer questions about the project.
"This is a major construction project that will impact the entire city," said James Ballinger, chief engineer for the District 7 office of the highway department. "We intend to keep the public updated as work progresses."
Parking will be available in the Rupp Arena and Cox Street lots.
