A Eubank man died at the University of Kentucky Hospital Monday following a collision with a tractor-trailer about 13 miles north of Somerset.

Robert E. Hansen, 72, had been traveling east on Ky. 70 and was trying to cross U.S. 27 when he drove into the path of a northbound semi driven by Danny Blevins, 55, of Eubank at about 9 a.m., according to the Pulaski County sheriff's department.

Hansen was taken by helicopter to UK, where he died at 12:24 p.m., the Fayette County coroner's office said. Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg is in charge of arrangements.
