A train derailed in Nicholas County just after 4 p.m. Monday, scattering a load of coal.
A number of cars were involved but there were no reports of injuries, said a dispatcher with the Carlisle Police Department.
The incident occurred inside the city limits on Concrete Road, across from a mobile home park.
