The National Weather Service confirmed Saturday that three tornadoes touched down when a storm system moved through Kentucky Friday.

No serious injuries were reported.

Nathan Foster, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Louisville, said tornados in Breckinridge and Monroe counties were confirmed in addition to a tornado in Casey County verified on Friday.

The Casey County tornado measured F2 in intensity (the scale runs from F0 to F5). The tornado, which destroyed at least two mobile homes when it touched down at 2:30 p.m. Friday, had winds that reached 118 mph.

The tornado in Breckinridge County had winds of about 85mph and was classified as F0 in intensity, said Foster.

He said the tornado in Monroe County had not been classified by Saturday evening. Storm damage also was reported in Powell, Pulaski and several other counties.
