Lexington adds an hour to trick-or-treat time

kward1@herald-leader.comOctober 20, 2009

Children in Lexington will have an extra hour to trick-or-treat this year.

Trick-or-treating will start an hour earlier on Oct. 31 because of the University of Kentucky-Mississippi State University football game, which begins at 7 p.m. Children can collect treats from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In the past, trick-or-treating has been from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The city asks that fans heading to Commonwealth Stadium on Oct. 31 keep an eye out for little ghosts and goblins on sidewalks and crossing streets.

Lexington Herald-Leader is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
