Work crews have cleared a one-lane path through a massive rock slide across Ky. 2009 in southern Leslie County, the Transportation Cabinet announced Wednesday morning.
With work continuing, however, motorists will be able to drive through the road only hourly, according to a news release.
As conditions permit, drivers will be allowed through more frequently, the release said.
It could take two more weeks to remove all the rock and dirt that fell across the road Saturday at Hoskinston. The slide cut off access to U.S. 421, forcing a detour of an hour or more for some residents to get to Hyden.
