Kentucky running back Derrick Locke, who injured his right knee in last weekend's victory at Auburn, has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's game against Louisiana-Monroe, Coach Rich Brooks said Thursday.

Locke, who was listed as doubtful earlier this week with a strained medial collateral ligament, returned to practice Thursday. Brooks said if Locke does not experience too much soreness on Friday that he'll be OK to play on Saturday.

The strain is on the right knee, not the left knee on which Locke had surgery last season.

Locke, who rushed for 126 yards at Auburn, leads the Wildcats this season with 459 yards on 99 carries.

Brooks also said Thursday that running back Moncell Allen and safety Taiedo Smith returned to practice after testing negative for the H1N1 virus.
