One person died and three others were injured in a crash in Bath County Tuesday afternoon.

Gary Calvert, 44, of Sharpsburg was headed east on Mount Pleasant Road in Sharpsburg in a Chevrolet pickup when he hit another Chevrolet pickup head-on about 5:15 p.m. State police said Calvert, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had been driving on the wrong side of the road.

Two occupants of the other vehicle — the driver, Jerry Warmouth, 60, and a passenger, George Cundiff, 31, both of Owingsville, were taken to University of Kentucky Hospital.

Another passenger, Adam Warmouth, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling.

No one in either vehicle had been wearing seat belts.
