Readers digest book bargains

The annual Friends of the Lexington Public Library sale opened to the public Sunday and will continue through next Sunday. More than 200 people came through during the first few hours. The sale, at the former Dawahare's store at 1801 Alexandria Drive, Suite 148, offers thousands of items and benefits the library.

The hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Hardbacks are $1. Paperbacks are 25 cents.
