A motorcycle ride to benefit troops overseas will begin Sunday afternoon in Harrodsburg.

The ride will collect $10 from each biker, and the proceeds will be used to buy calling cards for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The ride starts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Harrodsburg Wal-Mart, 591 Joseph Drive.

Don and Cathy Estes, who lost their son, Justin M. "Dutch" Estes, in Iraq in 2007, are among the organizers for the ride. Estes, 25, was posthumously awarded the Silver Star medal for valor during an insurgent attack on an Army convoy at Samarra, Iraq.

For information, call Don or Cathy Estes at (859) 325-5684 or (859) 325-3580.
